Spinach and kale are key ingredients in this drink. You want big handfuls of the stuff! Your body will thank you for it. Rich in vitamin A and K, spinach will help to improve the quality of your skin and help maintain your healthy bones. Mixing up the greens with kale promotes heart health whilst aiding digestion, winner!
Add lemon for a burst of Vitamin C, Spirulina for it’s potent anti-oxidants, pea protein/hemp powder for well protein, flax for some hormone support and fine sea salt to help bring out the sweetness of the maple syrup.
You don’t have to add all of these ingredients, and can use substitutes. If you do though you’ve got yourself a pretty powerful drink, which will support multiple systems in your body and offers a beautifully balanced taste.
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup spinach
1 cup kale
½ banana, frozen and cut into quarters
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp ground flax
1 tsp pea protein powder or hemp
½ apple, cored and deseeded
½ lemon, juiced
½ tbsp spirulina
1 pinch fine sea salt
Method
Blend altogether until smooth.
